Andrew Winfield Biography
After qualifying as a solicitor, specialising in real estate and private client work, Andrew became an equity partner at the tender age of 30 but after realising that equity partnership wasn’t quite as equitable as he thought it would be he set up his own law firm in the summer of 1987. Five years later he was approached by two other lawyers who liked what he had done and together they set up a boutique law firm which steadily grew to a firm of 126.
Owning and running businesses over the years has meant that whilst being a highly successful lawyer Andrew has always regarded himself as a businessman first and when the opportunity arose to take a senior leadership role in a major bank he jumped at it. This experience fuelled his passion for coaching, mentoring and developing both teams and individuals and helping them understand and realise their full potential.
Always with an eye to the future, Andrew incorporated Excelcium Consulting Limited as a means of enabling him to realise his vision of setting up his own management consultancy business and a few years later, after another people development role in financial services, he started utilising his many years of experience to advise boards and the senior management teams of SMEs on team and personal development and also other operational aspects relevant to the running of their businesses.
Andrew has a passion for helping people thrive and is fascinated by neuroscience. He has delivered many thought provoking sessions to groups both large and small in small businesses and large corporates. All his sessions are highly factual, based on hours of research but more importantly, engaging and memorable.
